An exciting opportunity has just become available for the Quality and Patient Safety Manager at a beautiful facility located in Southern Texas! This position would be a great fit to the nursing leader experienced in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and patient safety.

This 500+ bed short term acute care hospital offers a variety of services to its surrounding communities, including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, surgical and diagnostic services, and women’s care. In addition, this hospital is an accredited chest pain center and is recognized for its excellence in stroke care over the past several years. It also houses a trauma center, and maintains a partnership with a local college as a medical teaching facility. Furthermore, this regional healthcare facility is recognized for its supportive nursing and ancillary staff, and for the longevity of its hospital leadership.

The Quality and Patient Safety Manager will be responsible for the oversight of all quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance activities for this large healthcare facility. The Patient Safety and Quality Manager will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer, and collaborate with the Board of Directors and other hospital leadership to design and implement quality assurance strategies that comply with current state department and national guidelines. The Quality and Patient Safety Manager will act as a leader and point of contact between hospital leadership and staff, as well as provide training and education to current staff, in addition to on-boarding to new hires in regards to the quality and compliance programs. The person in this role must demonstrate strong leadership skills in order to motivate staff to ensure high quality patient care outcomes.

This role is RN and BSN-required. Additionally, QI (quality improvement), patient safety experience, and CPHQ certification are required. Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
