Part-time
Restaurant Server / Waiter / Waitress / Wait staff: serve food, drinks, and accommodate guests' needs in a courteous and timely manner following Souper Salad Waco Service Standards.
Restaurant Server / Waiter / Waitress / Wait staff is generally offered as a part time restaurant job.
Previous experience as restaurant server, waiter, waitress, wait staff, runner, front of the house, or other FOH part time restaurant job very helpful to the success at this job.
Requirements/Responsibilities
Restaurant Server / Waiter / Waitress / Wait staff Specific Functions and Duties:
1. Delivers drinks and a la carte items to guests.
2. Greet guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.
3. Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
4. Relays a la carte item orders to kitchen personnel.
5. Observes guests and responds to any additional requests.
6. Learns POS system to take orders from guests when they first walk into Souper Salad. Makes
correct change and/or completes the proper charge card procedure.
7. Participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables.
Server / Waiter / Waitress / Wait staff Qualification Standards:
1. Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.
2. Transports plates, glasses and baskets to and from dining room and the kitchen.
3. Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
4. Mobility required during the entire shift.
5. Cleaning duties including, but not exclusive to, bathrooms, tables, BOH, and floor, as well as extra duties asked by the manager.
6. Ability to put away cases of dry and paper goods when the food delivery truck arrives.
Server / Waiter / Waitress / Wait staff Physical:
1. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to six (6) hours in length. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift and bus pans, and trays.
