We'll aim to create a process that is clear, and low-friction. By understanding our customers' needs deeply, we aim to create experiences guided by ease, empathy, and encouragement.

YOU'RE PERFECT FOR THIS ROLE IF:

  • You're a front-line advocate for our customers and you're eager to discover their needs through research
  • You're good at navigating and clarifying ambiguity through cross-functional collaboration
  • You're versatile and capable of delivering thoughtful digital design work in any fidelity, from low to high.


HERE'S WHAT A UX DESIGNER AT ONE MAIN COULD DO ON ANY GIVEN DAY:
  • Run a two-hour workshop with business stakeholders and product partners, ask smart questions and take risks to figure things out and articulate problems to be solved
  • Lead a journey-mapping session to outline the customer experience for sharing their financial data
  • Participate in a design session with UX writers and legal partners to come up with disclosures that protect user's privacy that they would actually want to read.
  • Use, maintain, and expand our design system and Figma components
  • Design (and annotate!) elegant, simple, human-centric flows and experiences as we define new initiatives and iterate on existing features
  • Present your work to the rest of the design team with humility and openness to feedback
  • Create a highly interactive prototype, then collaborate with UX researchers to put it in front of the users and see if it works
  • Regularly party-parrot your teammates on Slack, while being kind, inclusive and supportive!


YOU'RE QUALIFIED FOR THIS ROLE IF:
  • You have at least 2 years designing mobile-first and responsive websites in a cross-functional team
  • You know Figma and Sketch by heart
  • You understand what "information architecture" actually means
  • You can talk about your work in front of people with passion, persuasion and politeness (and, hopefully, sense of humor)
  • You can write with proper language and attention to detail


EVEN BETTER IF:
  • You've worked (and succeeded!) as a designer in financial industry
  • You understand how APIs and token authentication works (you'll need this for this role)
  • You understand how code works-at least CSS and JavaScript
  • You're a Swiss army knife of design skills, including UI animation and service blueprinting
