RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer.
Responsibilities:
Work with Developers across the SDLC to ensure focus on production stability during the build phase
Build software solution to automate infrastructure builds and production support functions
Optimize on-call interruptions and processes to streamline Incident Management, Escalation and Resolution
Document runbooks and teach procedures across squads to balance knowledge between full stack engineers
Lead production incident postmortems to find the cause and fix failure in code and processes
Focus on observability of all supported application by applying monitoring solutions across the stack
Assess the business impact of outages and ensures accurate communication and escalation
Works with Agile teams to promote standards to improve application reliability and resilience
Ensure infrastructure standards across test and production environments
REQUIREMENTS:
Development skills using Java and web application technologies in a service oriented architecture
Experience in web development, like HTML, CSS, Angular, JavaScript, Node JS, PHP, etc.
Web based application configuration and support (Load Balancing, Apache & IIS Configuration, SSL, Single Sign-On, Security)
Java application server deployment (Tomcat, WebSphere, Certificate and Key Management)
Developing scripted solutions (python, ksh, bash, sed, awk, perl)
UNIX/ Windows OS Admin (troubleshoot & manage infrastructure, VMs, Volumes, Users/Groups)
Experience with API Integration (using Python, Curl, Shell, etc.)
Able to write complex database queries (MS SQL & Oracles Client, PL/SQL)
Understand batch scheduling (Control-M)
Experience with Build & Deploy Tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT/Stash, Artifactory)
Understanding Cloud Deployment (Docker, AWS, Cloud APIs)
Experience with ETL and Reporting Tools (Informatica & Hyperion, MS Power BI)
Communicating Metrics for application performance & monitoring, incident and problem management, etc.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Capable of learning complex processes quickly and have ability to learn through independent research
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
The applicant should demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to learn and work quickly to meet business deadlines
