Microcalorimetry Product ManagerReq. # 10858Company Name TACategory Product Management and ApplicationsLocation US-UT-LindonType Regular Full-Time.and.nbsp;OverviewTA Instruments is seeking a Product Manger who would be responsible for our Microcalorimetry product line. This individual must have a strategic mindset and solid business accuman in order to identify new product opportunities .and.amp; ideas for existing product enhancement. This exciting position would be reporting to our VP of Product Management and is located in our Lindon, UT office.Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to Identifies and screens new product opportunities or enhancement of existing products and manages the activities of various groups through the phases of development from conception to actual marketing Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments; coordinates the activities, integrating the work of Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Service functions for all or part of a new or existing product or product line Monitors the development of business plans, managing lifecycles and product positioning in the marketplace Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs Works with Sales management to establish pricing strategies and ensures that the specifics associated with implementation of those strategies (e.g. pricing lists) are current and up to date Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the product marketing function Provides technical consultation to field personnel and customers during the early life of new products; provides product consultation to Engineering in the design state of products to ensure technical and business viability of products Plans, prepares and presents product introduction strategiesThe successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry, Physics, etc.) or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
