As a Business Analyst, you'll be working on a variety of projects to analyze, advise, build, and test improvements to our processes for both the business and its users.



What will you be doing?

  • Has the ability to identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems.
  • Coordinates meetings with business users for requirements validation, scope definition, and release timeline for features and projects.
  • Works closely with Product Manager to review feature backlog and prioritize development stories.
  • Manages development backlog and sprint planning for developers.
  • Explains requirements to developers and serves as a liaison between developers and Product Manager.
  • Oversees project execution and user acceptance testing. Coordinates UAT activities with internal and external users.
  • Assists Product Manager on client onboarding implementations.
  • Works with sales and support teams (Implementations, Underwriting, Product Ops, etc.) to ensure applications are running smoothly.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
  • Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify applicable applications.
  • Publishes, reviews and gets approval on user stories, requirement documents and release notes.
  • Helps with user testing to confirm issues/bugs/results of specific features with development team to expedite fixes/releases.
  • Assists the production support and development teams during application releases. Creates and broadcasts release notes to stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with the training department as needed to help with user training of new features/functionality.
  • Works with peers and leaders within the team to implement improvements in project planning and execution.
  • Participates in all sprint ceremonies and documents and communicates action items.
  • This position will report to the Director, Product.
  • Duties may change based on business needs.


What are the requirements?
  • Strong organizational skills are a must.
  • Ability to speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough manner using appropriate and effective communication skills
  • Understanding of contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and management practices, and the ability to apply them in the context of a given project required.
  • An understanding of how to practice requirements engineering according to the specific software development life cycle approach practiced in a given environment required.
  • An understanding of project management concepts and how business processes and information systems are developed required.
  • Application domain knowledge is a plus.
  • Merchant Boarding experience is a plus.

Education/Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Systems Analysis, Information Management, or a related area of specialization required.
  • 1-2 years writing User Stories under the agile methodology required.
  • Experience with tools such as Rally or VSTS (TFS), Word and Visio required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
