We are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the US.ICF’s IT Modernization division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department, seeking a Business Analyst to support upcoming needs with our federal customers.The WorkThe Business Analyst is responsible for eliciting and analyzing business requirements and translating into user stories and acceptance criteria. You will also perform functional, 508 compliance, and regression testing to ensure our applications meet quality requirements. This position is within the context of an Agile team employing the Scaled Agile (SAFe) development framework. Key ResponsibilitiesWork with IT and business stakeholders to define the system requirements and design approach and write corresponding user stories and acceptance criteria

Create functional artifacts such as a data dictionary, roles matrix, or process diagram

Coordinate with developers and testers to ensure a shared understanding of business requirements

Obtain clarifications from product owners and other stakeholders as needed

Develop an understanding of the client processes and procedures and recommend improvements to the end user experience

Write test plans and test cases for all user stories

Perform functional and regression testing within sprints

Perform smoke testing and integration testing of applications after deployments

Support automated testing by writing test scripts using the Gherkin syntax

Ensure all pages meet 508 compliance requirements using WAVE, AMP, and JAWS

UAT involvement

Assist team with updating Help Docs and Release Notes/Change management duties.

Support PO and Scrum master with deliverables as needed.Charter Plan, test Plan, etc.

Support PO with backlog Reviews

Back-up the Scrum Master

Escalate blockers as needed.

Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree and 1 year of work experience as a business analyst/tester OR 5 years of work experience (with no degree requirement)

Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria

Experience facilitating requirements gathering meetings with clients and end users

Experience testing and logging defects, and working with developers to ensure defects are appropriately resolved

Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including recent successful experience with agile methodologies (scrum)

Ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate difficult sensitive information tactfully

Strong analytical, organizational and product management skills

Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

US Citizen or Green Card Holder required due to federal contract requirements.

Preferred Skills and ExperienceExperience with issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence

Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines

Experience using 508 testing tools, including JAWS, AMP, and WAVE

Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and ceremonies

Experience with automated testing using Selenium/Cucumber
