DescriptionThe Lead Cloud Security Engineer develops and executes security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent attacks or attempts to infiltrate company systems and is responsible for the design, development and architecture of cloud security products and automated capabilities supporting Humana's cloud presence.ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Cloud Security Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity and is responsible for the design, development, and architecture of cloud security products and automated capabilities supporting the expanding cloud utilization by Humana’s engineering and business teams. They lead by example, working in the Cloud Security Engineering team to deliver security automation using cloud native technologies. This role requires a solid grasp of cloud security engineering principles and practices employing DevOps, agile development, and continuous integration. Lead a team of internal and contractual engineers in the development of automation for prevention, detection, and remediation of security controls in cloud environments.
Integrate automation and applications for security alerts, IAM provisioning, and incident response functions
Design, develop, and review Infrastructure as Code (IaC) artifacts with an eye for security best practices
Identify and develop new capabilities to improve our user experience and security
Build strong working relationships across Humana teams including DevOps, cloud platform engineering, application security, and enterprise security.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
10+ years of Software Development experience designing and developing effective solutions
At least one year of experience building cloud solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform or appropriate certification
At least three years of building health solutions
Ability to communicate effectively across the organization
Strong verbal and communication skills
Currently has or is eligible for an ADP II security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in a Technical Field
Experience in Cyber Security and Cyber Data Protection
Deep knowledge of security capabilities and constraints related to deploying cloud native applications and infrastructure
Experience with cloud-native architectures, document DBs and Kubernetes
2 or more years supervisory experience (preferably in Cyber Data Protection)
