Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.Configuring and installing networking hardware.Creating and implementing network security measures.Conducting regular network performance tests.Dealing with escalated network support issues.Drawing up network status reports.Principal support for data centre networking environments globally.Support tasks related to integrations and IT architecture initiatives.Physical data centre support, rack, stack, cabling as required.Responsible for periodic support of network issues and participation in scheduled downtime.Experience in Service Management to include change, incident and capacity management.Good knowledge of Cisco Network architectures, design and support.Attention to detail and ability to produce and maintain complex network schematics and produce professional documentation.Successful experience in working on large scale projects along with working with wider project teams where you would provide technical guidance in planning and be involved in then hands on implementation.Advanced configuration and troubleshooting skills.Firewall experience such as Palo Alto, SonicWall is nice to have.Route redistribution and deep level of understanding of routing metrics and ACLs.Experience of configuring Quality of Service.Provide operational assistance and support to customers and internal teams within the Managed Services business.Provide out of hours on call support for Network & Security support for contracted services & software support 24/7 on a rota basis.Managing escalations to vendors where required and ensuring the customer is kept up to date on progress.Attend customer meetings and provide Network & Security technical solutions to deliver contracted services.Assist with performing Data Availability testing and full invocation for customers.Perform hands on activities within the data centres, which might include cabling, commissioning equipment, performing troubleshooting.Own and manage customer transitions activities to a defined process and to successful completion.Resolving support calls and attending customer sites as appropriate.
