The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example.
  • Guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices, principles, and theory.
  • Coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team.
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right people/process to remove the impediment.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame or retribution - with an emphasis of problem solving.
  • Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Serve as a liaison between the product owners and team to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
  • Interact with the line of business SMEs and Product Owners to facilitate developing a roadmap for the end-to-end feature set and PI planning for the target deliverables.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Build, develop, and grow any relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Take ownership of day-to-day issues and escalations and bring issues to resolution.
  • Lead team through PI planning including quarterly onsite meetings.
  • Facilitate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery.
  • Coordinate activities across scrum teams.
  • Ensure team records are maintained in the system of record.
  • Leverage data to measure and monitor progress (burndown charts, etc.).
  • Track and communicate team progress as well as sprint or release progress to Program.
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
  • Be an activist of the Scrum principles within company and participate in continuous improvement within this discipline.
  • Review and confirm the appropriate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals are assigned.
