Full TimeShift DayWork Schedule SummaryMonday – Friday 9 am – 5pmVP Area Academic AffairsDepartment 00318 - University Union (Day Staff)Location CampusCity Salt Lake City, UTType of Recruitment External PostingPay Rate Range 36000 to 40000Close DateOpen Until Filled YesJob SummaryThis specialist will play an integral role in helping to develop communications and partnerships surrounding the Union’s stewardship activities for the Union Scholarship Fund.Responsibilities●Create and deliver content for a monthly newsletter to be distributed to Union Scholarship Fund donors●Develop and maintain a donor database to be leveraged throughout the year●Assist in the planning and execution of the annual Union Scholarship Celebration – a large scale fundraising event●Manages stewardship activities including but not limited to: processing donor giving reports, preparing stewardship letters, and handling gift deposits●Be thoroughly involved with the union scholarship application process by answering questions for students, updating online scholarship application and information, coordinating materials for review by the scholarship committee, and processing paperwork and submissions●Assist in implementing strategic marketing campaigns surrounding the Union Scholarship program●Sell and maintain existing advertising packages with Union partners●Cultivate opportunities for new advertising partnersThis job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalency; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.
