Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist customers in making healthcare decisions by carefully matching customers with the optimal products and services.

Meet monthly sales and performance goals.

Answer phone calls from customers and assist them in completing the appropriate applications and forms.

Remain current on products and processes in a multi-product environment.

Abide by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Marketing Guidelines and company policies and procedures.

Demonstrate fantastic customer service skills with a friendly and patient attitude.

Remain compliant with all state continuing education requirements.

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Licensed Health Insurance Agent.

High School Diploma.

Good computer and Internet skills with ability to navigate multiple screens as well as accurate/timely data entry and familiarity with email.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

The ability and capacity to understand various products from multiple carriers and use that knowledge to make sound recommendations to consumers.

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

A minimum of 2 years sales experience with at least 1 year in the insurance industry with a successful track record of goal achievement.

Experience with the senior market preferably in Medicare sales and/or service.

Call center experience.

Preferred education and experience

BA/BS degree.

Knowledgeable in CMS and Health Care reform rules and regulations.

Experience selling Individual and/or senior insurance products.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
