Purpose, Scope, & Dimension of Job:

The Measure Technician is responsible for completing detailed measures at customer locations for installation services, including windows, roofing, siding, gutters, gutter protection and/or insulation. The Measure Technician takes final and precise measurements for the product that will be installed by an installation crew. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and problem solving skills, and will have considerable residential exterior installation experience on a variety of products

Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities:

1. Taking precise measures of windows, roofing, siding, gutters and insulation for residential homes

2. Must have excellent customer service since they will be speaking to the customer as well as informing them what they are taking care of in the home

3. Take pictures of the measures being taken so we can update our notes in the customer’s order profile

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age

2. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience installing windows, roofing, siding, gutters, gutter protection and insulation

3. Must have a valid driver’s license

4. Must carry valid automobile insurance

5. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to take and record measures with accuracy

6. Positive attitude as well as excellent communication skills

7. Great math skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Able to train future employees

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods

2. Requires the ability to climb a minimum of two stories on a ladder

3. Must be able to move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds

4. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers, vendors, and the public

Hours/Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week/52 weeks per year. Standard hours are M – F, 8:00 – 5:00 but due to cyclical nature of position, some overtime, including evening and weekend hours, may be required to complete projects under deadlines. Daily local and statewide travel is required.
