Supervisor: Vice President of Curriculum Support and Operations (senior designer)
We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our production team. You will be helping to design a wide variety of projects across digital and print media. To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, willing to design within the template and brand design format, capable of delivering assignments in short time frames, and show amazing attention to detail.
Graphic Designer Responsibilities:
Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size, and style, and submitting them for approval.
Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
Coordinating with web designers, marketing team, printers, and colleagues as requested.
Contributing to marketing and production team efforts by accomplishing tasks as requested.
Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.
Graphic Designer Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Certification in graphic design.
At least 3 years work experience as a graphic designer.
Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, and Illustrator as well as Powerpoint and Keynote.
A strong eye for visual composition.
Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to design within the company branded palette and look.
Willingness to work with the editorial team and keep trying until the project receives final approval.
Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
Experience with computer-aided design.
Maintain time records as per company policy and online platform.
Additional skill sets (desirable but not required):
Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and/or JavaScript
