Senior Systems Engineer
Salt Lake City, UT
Direct Hire: 100-120k annual

Our client is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to join their growing team. This individual will be focused on the architecture, deployment, maintenance and upgrades of our VMWare environment supporting Windows, Linux and containerized workloads.

Additional Essential Functions

• Build/scale and optimize VMWare infrastructure to support Windows, Linux and Container environments
• Accountable for maintaining the stability and performance of VMWare environments
• Developing scripts to automate repetitive tasks or tools to enhance support of VMWare environments
• Focus on analyzing data, supporting application and system outages, and providing guidance to solve complex issues.
• Work closely with technical SME'swho are responsible for improving the stability and performance of critical systems.
• Understanding security best practices and proactively looking to strengthen security posture
• Sustainlearning and knowledge sharing culture in the organization and aim at achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Networking or equivalent experience
• 2+ years ofVMWareadministration experience in supporting critical production environments
• Maintain and manage all aspects of VMWare from Host hardware installation and maintenance to patching and updates on a timely basis
• Experience With vRealize Operations
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience Veeam Backup or equivalent Backup solution
• Storage experience with Client Nimble, Purestorage, or equivalent enterprise storage solution
• Familiar with Ansible & Terraform (or equivalent) as system management and configuration tool
• Ability to utilize PowerShell scripting language to automate regular tasks and processes
