Sticks & Stuff is the area's leading building material supplier in Northern Vermont. We are looking for a full time Counter Salesperson for our St Albans location. We are customer focused and the Counter Salesperson will serve as an important part of our customer service team.
Job Duties: Provide prompt, quality service to walk-in customers and assist in maintaining the store in an attractive, well-displayed condition. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Greet customers immediately as they enter the store
Assist customers in selecting the items that they wish to purchase, including mixing and selling paint and related products. Process customers through the checkout counter in a prompt, courteous, business-like manner with minimum delay and maximum courtesy.
Assist in receiving stock and putting it away.
Assist in answering incoming phone calls.
Assist in cleaning and merchandising the store
Ability to work weekends is a PLUS!
Requirements: General knowledge of computers and a willingness to provide outstanding customer service. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Energetic with desire to learn. Retail experience preferred, especially with building materials, but, willing to train the right person. Must have the ability to learn about the products we sell.
