Maplehill School and Farm seeks an Instructional Assistant (IA) who can bring enthusiasm and creativity to working one on one with middle and high school age students. The IA assists in academic work and a variety of hands-on experiential projects, both indoors and outdoors in a rural, farm setting. The ideal candidate has personal integrity, emotional maturity, compassion and can provide academic and emotional support to students. As well, the IA is a good communicator and an open-minded collaborator with colleagues. We especially welcome applicants with a background in the trades, arts, music, or outdoor education.
Maplehill School is a safe, caring, land-based educational community located on 230 acres in central Vermont. Students engage in academics, social/emotional learning, service projects, vocational exploration, recreational activities, farming, and gardening. We emphasize restorative practices, self-reflection, and clear empathic communication. You will join a team that works closely with students, staff and families.
Drivers license, background check, and good driving record required. Starting wage is $15/hr.
