Wingspan Academy Assistant
Wingspan Studio seeks highly motivated, responsible, enthusiastic people to join our team as part-time Program Staff/Studio Assistants for our K-Middle School Youth Program from September 21, 2020- December 21, 2020, approximately (potentially longer).
Work alongside the director with youth ages 5-15 in a small education center and art studio.
Wingspan's focus is on Art, French, Nature, Culture and Kindness.
Wingspan offers on-site enrichment, academic support, outside play, French language learning and art projects for learners of diverse abilities.
SKILLS NEEDED:
Attention to detail, ability to follow directions, dependability, loves kids, behavior management experience with elementary/middle school youth, ability to problem solve, experience teaching, articulate and concise speaker, digital skills a plus for social media/website maintenance. Ability to lead a group of kids safely, creatively and calmly with clear boundaries and expectations. Covid safety and close following of protocols a must.
Familiarity with a trauma-based learning environment or open to learn.
Will train a great candidate.
Program Hours serving youth (subject to change): M-F, 8 am - 3 pm.
Other hours outside this expected for prep, studio upkeep, marketing, errands
Job Type: Part-time (approx 20/hrs week)
Start Date: Mon, Sept 21, 2020
Pay: $12.00 – $18.00 per hour based on experience and skill level
