We are a relatively small, well-respected construction company that strives for quality work, and to have fun while doing it. Our projects range from additions to entire house remodels or new construction, most of which is considered "high end" or "luxury".
A Project Manager in our company needs to be an extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who has a vast knowledge of construction and has great communication skills. The ideal candidate has experience with QuickBooks, strong planning, multi-tasking and time management skills, is resourceful and able to problem-solve. Experience with the high-end homes is not required, but would be fantastic!
Every day will be different and your challenges (and there will be many) and tasks will vary. Here are just a few:
Write job specifications and/or have deep understanding of project scope and details
Hub of communication:
Receive, retain and relay information you receive from clients to our project team.
Keep clients and project team informed of changes to budget, schedule, scope, etc.
Gather estimates and timelines from subcontractors
Blueprint ready and material takeoffs
Detailed budgets/estimates
Permits
Contracts
Change orders
Draft and maintain schedule (with updates)
Submittals
Pre-construction and regular meetings with subcontractors (not necessary on smaller jobs)
Meeting notes
Check quality of work and that scope is being followed on site
Punch list
Project close out (RBES certificate and inspections)
Help oversee safety on site
Billing
