Posting DetailsPosition will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice.Advertising CopyThe University of Vermont is seeking a doctoral-level Health Services Researcher to join the new Center for Health Services Research in the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine (COM) in the Department of Radiology. This is an opportunity to join the Center and Department at an exciting time, with Vermont embarking on a unique statewide all-payer accountable care organization model that will facilitate remarkable opportunities for innovated health services research. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary center focused on evaluating the impact of innovative healthcare delivery models, chronic disease prevention and management, organization and financing of health care, integrated health information systems, health policy or other health service domains. There will also be the opportunity to work with Radiology faculty to engage in groundbreaking research on the value and opportunities associated with innovations in the delivery of Radiology services.

The successful candidate will conduct rigorous, externally funded research as well as teach students and/or residents in one or more of the LCOM’s graduate degree programs. We desire evidence of successfully working on interdisciplinary research teams and a doctoral level degree (PhD or equivalent) in Health Services Research. We are particularly interested in expertise in quantitative health services research methods, experience using large healthcare databases for research purpose (such as EPIC or healthcare claims data) excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong commitment to academic research, demonstrated experience working with clinical faculty on health services research projects and teaching courses in Health Services Research methods. Candidates with experience with extramural grant funding and research in Radiology are particularly encouraged to apply.The successful candidate will be granted a faculty appointment in the Department of Radiology. The initial appointment is intended to be at the Assistant Professor level in the Tenure Pathway.
