CTGs premier client has a contract assignment for an Employee Relations Specialist.Duration: 6 MonthJob Title: Employee Relations Specialist Location: RemoteThis job is fully remote and can be done anywhere in the US supporting regions within the Eastern/Central Standard Time zones. The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for supporting approx. 600 employees across the US including manufacturing sites in New Hampshire and Michigan as well as a remote US based sales organization. The ER Specialist is the first point of contact for coaching and advising employees and managers through sensitive employee relations by resolving conflict and identifying workable solutions and investigates work-related or compliance issues and prepare summary reports, conclusions and recommendations. The role includes high-level administrative work coordinating employee relations activities including documentation and case and file management. As we continue to evolve our HR Service Delivery model, this role will assist with establishing a consistent process and documentation for investigations and disciplinary procedures. We look for someone to bring their ideas and best practice approach to drive more effective and positive employee relations while reducing risk to the business. General Responsibilities: Serve as a resource for employees in responding to day-to-day policy and employee relations questions Advise and coach managers on proper handling of employee behavior and performance related matters Responds and evaluates employee relations inquiries with a high level of customer focus and sensitivity Assist in communicating policies, procedures, and protocols; interpret and respond to employee questions regarding policies Plans, conducts, organizes and leads workplace investigations including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Determines the appropriate investigative course of action based on the outcome of research including disciplinary recommendations Partner with Legal team in conducting investigations and HR leaders to provide counsel and facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns Uses reason and de-escalation skills to manage difficult situations; present facts and recommendations verbally and in writing; Analyze employee relations trends with Leadership and help develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies Create and update HR policies and procedures that pertain to employee relations Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 3- 5 years experience in employee relations, investigations, employment law, and disciplinary actions. Bachelors Degree. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, statutes, which govern employment policies and practices Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices, and standards Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas Excellent planning, organization and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Must be an articulate and persuasive communicator Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues Strong business acumen Additional Information:No third party resumes will be accepted
