Seeking to hire a breakfast cook who is a morning person and would appreciate working in an elegant, Victorian bed and breakfast. Our guests enjoy inventive and delicious, made-to-order breakfast fare (some like plain scrambled eggs, but not many). Our daily offerings include baked goods and three breakfast entrees: eggs; pancakes/waffles/French toast/crepes; or house made granola with yogurt and fruit. Breakfast meats are an optional side. The menu is different each day. We serve up to 25 people between 8 and 10 a.m.
Hours are 6 a.m. to noon-ish; three or four consecutive mornings per week.
This is a cooking only position (i.e., you would not be responsible for menu planning, food ordering or training breakfast servers). The ability to cook for special diets (gluten-free, dairy-free, tree nut free, and/or vegan) is essential. Our offerings for special diets is inventive, too.
Cooking and baking experience is required. Being a pleasant person who can interact well with staff and guests is essential. This is more like a household kitchen atmosphere. We pride ourselves on being welcoming and friendly. We all strive for a high standard of service.
Pay is based on experience.
