Chef Position for Winter Season 2019 - 2020: The Mountaineer Inn, a 25-room traditional ski lodge at the base of the Mount Snow Ski Resort in southern Vermont, is looking for a fulltime chef for the winter season. Responsible for breakfast, 4 and sometimes 6-course dinners and occasional lunch in this single-chef kitchen. Report directly to the owners. 60-seat dining room serving in-house guests. Start week of December 8, 2019, through Sunday, March 8, 2020. Your food must taste terrific as we have an excellent reputation for our hospitality, accommodations and our food. The position requires:

Full responsibility for food preparation, cooking and presentation.

The ability to cook breakfast and dinner 5 days a week and lunch 3 weeks of the winter.

Ability to handle 3 service styles: banquet, short-order and buffet.

The ability to meet guests special dietary needs.

Participation in menu planning, food ordering and taking inventory.

Working with a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic staff.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.
