Nature & scope
The Dishwasher/Utility Aide performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dishwashing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non food supplies.
Minimum eligibility requirements
Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
Must meet all health requirements.
Must pass criminal background check.
Essential functions
Kitchen
Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel, dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non food supplies following Company procedures.
Prepares for dishwashing and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces.
Perform kitchen cleaning duties including but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, dishwashing area, floors, walls, equipment, storage areas, prep areas, outside receiving and dumpster areas.
Maintains temperature and chemical logs for dishwasher.
Works with the cook to put food out for special events and daily meals.
