Eco Bean is looking for a talented team member to assist in our kitchen operations. We are an organic café that offers a positive, fast-paced environment in the Blue Mall in South Burlington.
The right person for this position has grace and good cheer under pressure - knows how to hustle, works clean with a professional attitude and a high standard for cleanliness and quality. This is not your average food service establishment. We prepare everything from scratch and use only the cleanest, highest quality ingredients.
As a kitchen assistant you will work under guidance to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational. Key responsibilities will include:
⢠ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
⢠assisting the owner with inventory and ordering of food items and paper products
⢠sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
⢠washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and preparing menu items
⢠washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
⢠disposing of garbage and organizing laundry
⢠cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
⢠assisting the front of the house with orders and customer service
