We, the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, believe young people change the world. VYCC Crew Members (15-26 year olds) and Crew Leaders (19+ year olds) join VYCC for a challenging experience, practical and hands-on work, personal growth, and deep connection to the natural world by working on farm and conservation crews across the state. Through this work, its VYCCs mission to teach young people personal responsibility through meaningful work that connects us to the land, community, and one another.

Over 250 young people will get paid to be a part of our award winning Conservation and Food & Farm programs.

VYCCs Food and Farm Program is a dynamic youth development and food security initiative. It engages young people in sustainable farming to improve access to healthy foods in Vermont communities. The Food and Farm Program grows produce and poultry for the VYCC Health Care Share, a public health project connecting Vermont families who are unable to access fresh food and/or suffer from diet related diseases with a weekly CSA share distributed at their health center.
