Job Description: The Front Desk Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing all Front Desk operations & Front Desk associates working directly with the Front Office Manager to deliver the highest level of guest service satisfaction. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills. The Front Desk Supervisor must be passionate about guest service and be motivated to lead the front desk team, to be guest driven, constantly be finding ways to update and enhance front desk policies & procedures, and to continuously contribute to the overall success of the hotel.

The Front Desk Supervisor will report directly to the Front Office Manager. The Front Desk Supervisor is second in command for any Front Desk related responsibilities. This means the individual must be able to handle any and all guest issues with ease and efficiency. The individual must exert professionalism with all staff and guests, and develop beneficial relationships with those alike. The Front Desk is the hub of the hotel, and the first interaction guest’s receive when they arrive, which is a pertinent part of the role to ensure and maintain repeat business.

The Front Desk Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the front desk are completed in a manner that is beneficial to our guests and effective to our staff. Some critical duties and responsibilities include:

• Working the Front Desk on a regular basis, assisting with making and modifying reservations, checking guests in and out, fielding guest service calls/answering phones, acting as guest concierge

• Ensuring guest issues and requests are handled in a timely manner, following up with guests to ensure satisfaction

Prerequisites:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or equivalent hospitality work experience preferred

• Extensive Front Desk or Front Desk management experience preferred

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Competent with FOSSE, MARSHA and Marriott Global Source preferred

• Proficient in customer service and satisfaction and problem solving adeptness

• Flexible schedule and hours with willingness to work weekends and holidays a must

• Excellent overall communication skills

• The ability to work well in both a team environment as well as independently

• Able to stand for extended periods of time
