Birchgrove Baking is seeking a motivated individual, passionate about creating delicious pastries and desserts, to join our full time kitchen staff. We are a small bakery whose daily production includes croissants, cookies, breakfast pastries, cakes and tarts. All from scratch. Birchgrove is a fun place to work and we seek to make the best products every day. We try to use local and/or organic ingredients whenever possible.
All applicants must be willing to bring new ideas, enthusiasm, attention to detail, teamwork, a positive attitude, and creativity. Formal training is not required, however, at least one year of experience in a professional pastry kitchen/bakery setting is required. Experience with cake decorating, design, and artistic ability is a plus. You must be available for some early morning shifts, weekends and holidays.
