MKT is a seasoned, farm-forward food business thrilled to be opening a pop-up restaurant this summer. We have teamed up with the renowned Weston Playhouse Theater where we will be opening MKT: Weston in the downstairs of the theater and serving dinner five nights a week before the show.

Were looking for a strong candidate to round out a great team for this fun, fast paced, and highly creative endeavor. If you are a chef or cook, who meets the below description, please reach out to us.

Ideal candidates must be able to work quickly and efficiently. Ideally, she or he will work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and work well as part of a team. They must have strong restaurant experience. In addition to excellent culinary skills, attention to detail and an expectation for consistently delicious food, candidates must have experience menu planning, ordering, and expediting.

The restaurant runs mid-June through the first week of September (and likely beyond!) and is open Tuesday-Saturday for a full-service dinner menu and a late night light bar menu. Our food is new American with an emphasis on local ingredients, supported by local farmers and producers of Southern Vermont and the broader New England region.

You will appreciate the beauty and access of Vermont. You will strive for excellent plates for your diners and excellent outcomes for the business. You will provide leadership to the kitchen and front-of house team. You will thrive in a fast-paced, hardworking environment. You will be excited to create dishes that represent our commitment to beautiful and delicious local food.

Kitchen Support Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Prep Cook in a professional kitchen

Flexible, customer service driven personality

Passion for food and flavor, commitment to cleanliness and professionalism

Strong multitasking skills and problem solving abilities (understanding that things will go wrong in this industry!)

Strong knife skills

Pastry and baking experience a plus

Punctual with reliable transportation to and from work

Ability to lift 50lbs
