Pete's Greens has an immediate, full time position open for a well-rounded individual. The primary duties include washing and packing vegetables and grains in our washhouse. Other duties include rotating into our delivery driver position, driving a 26 ft straight truck when our regular driver needs a day off.
Duties include
⢠Washing, prepping, and packing vegetables
⢠Bagging bulk grains, beans, and produce
⢠Organizing farm freezer (sorting, inventorying, tracking frozen meat and vegetables)
⢠Maintaining delivery trucks and other farm vehicles
⢠Delivering wholesale and CSA products to sites across northern and central Vermont
⢠Other duties as needed
Qualifications
⢠Ability to be punctual and dependable
⢠Must be detail-oriented, good humored, and able to communicate with customers in a friendly manner
⢠Be capable of counting/ doing basic math on the fly
⢠Be confident / handy with tools and maintaining reefer delivery trucks
⢠Be able to comfortably and repeatedly lift 50lbs of crates/ boxes of food
⢠Possess clean driving record, valid driverâs license, and solid experience driving a straight truck
⢠Problem-solving ability, a strong work ethic, and a passion for sustainable and healthy food
⢠Able to take direction, work in different areas of the farm, and move efficiently between tasks
⢠Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. While delivering, must be able to communicate with the farm via email, text, and voice.
