Summary:
Work outside in a beautiful mountain environment this summer as a member of our Golf Grounds Crew. Our Grounds Crew works in a team as well as independently, maintaining and improving the conditions at the Sugarbush Golf Course under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent.
Responsibilities:
Duties include walk mowing and tractor mowing of greens, tees, approaches and rough areas as well as the clubhouse; equipment operation; course set up, hand shoveling and raking; bunker maintenance, drainage and irrigation maintenance, string trimming with a rotary mower and other labor-intensive jobs.
Requirements:
This is a physically demanding job performed in many types of weather conditions. Must be able to walk long distances while operating a mower, be able to operate a variety of equipment, and have the ability to rake, shovel, dig, lift, and other manual tasks. No experience required but previous turf related experience and/or equipment operation is a plus. Requires ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and work under strenuous activity for a full 8 hour day in all weather conditions. Must be a minimum of 17 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be comfortable and effective working independently as well as part of a larger team to ensure our course offers the best possible playing conditions.
