Are you looking for a great career opportunity? Our customer in the Northfield, VT area is looking for 2nd and 3rdd shift Machine Operators. Must be a team player with the ability to work individually. Must have strong work ethic and attention to detail. Possible temp to hire positions for the right candidates based on performance and attendance.
-Ensure product quality by inspecting the product on each machine on a regular basis.
-Maintaining the machine target of 85% efficiency by addressing error lights and
performing repairs as quickly as possible.
-Ensure that the correct yarns are on machines according to the Product Spec Sheets.
-Check product quality for defects and compare production products to sample products.
-Make sure the spec sheet, production ticket, and program match.
-Monitor the supplies for each machine regularly, and ensure that run outs and downtime are kept to a minimum.
-Re-thread machines quickly and accurately to minimize downtime, and notify a technician of machine problems when appropriate.
-Be on the Set at all times, unless assigned other tasks by the Shift Supervisor.
-Complete production reporting as needed, e.g. production tickets and machine counts.
-Follow all safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
-Demonstrate teamwork by communicating with incoming shift about product quality, machine issues, and any other important information.
-Treat all co-workers with respect, honesty, and flexibility.
-High School diploma or GED equivalent.
-Basic mathematics skills and attention to detail.
-Strong communication skills and experience of a manufacturing operation.
Position pay rate: $11.00 - $13.00/hr depending on experience
