Burchfield Management Company is seeking an efficient, confident individual with a positive presence for 20-30 hours a week. The position requires organizational skills with an attention to detail; instruction-following skills; a professional demeanor; and the ability to adapt quickly to a myriad of incoming tasks using the latest technology. We are looking for a direct, polite and articulate person in oral and written communications. We want you to take pride in your work and bring your best effort to all tasks.
You will be providing administrative support to a busy, growing property management/real estate development firm located in Vergennes, Vermont. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Answering phones and scheduling appointments;
Directing maintenance requests to the right parties internally within the company;
Contacting vendors and tradespeople to schedule meetings and ensuring commitments are met;
Reading and writing precise and literate communications, as instructed;
Placing orders for products and materials and ensuring timely delivery;
Tracking rents, receivables, and payables according to current systems and procedures;
Following up with tenants on various matters, such as maintenance, past due rent, lease terminations, etc.;
Preparing reports and updating project plans;
Tracking project budgets compared to actual project costs; and
Updating websites.
Qualifications: Only candidates with a 4-year college degree or two years professional experience as an assistant, preferably in business or accounting, and an established record of performing very careful work. Knowledge of MS Office, Vista or Windows Operating systems and Adobe Acrobat Pro is preferred. Based on experience, pay is $20/$25 an hour.
