We are looking to add a team member to our Winooski & Burlington locations.
Birdfolk Collective is an eclectic gift shop featuring handmade + independent designers with locations in Winooski and Waterbury plus a sister store, Trinket, on Church Street in Burlington. We carry art, pottery, jewelry, cards, clothing, kiddo items + more from over 300 makers in Vermont and around the country. Our stores provide a fun and inspiring environment to work in!
We are hiring a part-time position for shifts in our Winooski and Burlington stores, but train our staff at all locations as we will occasionally need coverage in our Waterbury store.
Retail experience is a plus but we will train the right candidate. We are looking for someone who loves the handmade movement and sharing it with the community as much as we do!
The ideal candidate must:
-Be friendly and enjoy talking to people. Customer service is at the forefront of this job.
-Have the ability to multi task and be self motivated. You will be working the shop alone for half and full days (after training of course!)
-Have flexible availability, including weekends
-Have a strong work ethic
-Be able to lift 40 pounds
-Be timely, able to pay attention to detail, tech savvy
-Possess friendly customer service skills
-Most importantly, must be kind & honest.
