Dealer.com, a Cox Automotive brand is currently looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Consumer Solutions - Analytics Group in Burlington, VT.

This is a remote position that can sit anywhere as long as you are able to work around EST hours and schedules.

Job Summary:
As a Software Engineer II on an engineering team, you will write and maintain code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. The Software Engineer plays a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends.
Your Role:
  • Control system design practice within an enterprise or industry architecture.
  • Influence industry-based models for the development of new technology applications.
  • Develop effective implementation and procurement strategies, consistent with business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices.
  • Establish standards and procedures across the technology service lifecycle (including the development lifecycle) in the areas of systems integration and testing and ensures that practitioners adhere to them.
  • Manage application enhancements to improve business performance.
  • Live by Agile (particularly Scrum) principles and collaborate with team members using Agile techniques including test driven development, code reviews, and retrospectives
  • Maintain Cox Automotive position as an industry leader by exploring innovative technologies, languages, and techniques in the rapidly evolving world of high volume data processing

  • DevOps Tools : NewRelic, Jenkins, Grafana, PagerDuty, Terraform, GitHub

Compensation:
  • Compensation includes a base salary of $62,600 - 87,700. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
  • Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or and incentive program.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • 1-2 years of experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, frontend or backend development of client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems
