Job Description

ESSENTIAL DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES
Specific Core Functions / Standard Work:
 Experience and understanding of servicing and selling to a designer/trade/specifier driven market.
 A desire and ability to learn quickly and grow in a rapidly changing environment.
 Experience with and passion for developing a team.
o Helping team members to grow and driving results through the team.
o Developing and improving proactive processes and standard work with the team.
o Building connections and relationships across the organization.
 A demonstrated leadership style that values team engagement and being closely involved at all levels of the team’s operation.
 Strong project planning and execution skills, with the ability to tackle complicated new challenges.
 Priority given to time spent working within the department with the team.
 Some travel to trade shows
 Leadership and management of the HF Commercial and Trade teams

GENERAL ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP FUNCTIONS
Safety
 Be a role model in safety for the department by never compromising safety for competing priorities.
 Develop a safety consciousness among the department.
Quality
 Be a role model in quality for the department in understanding the importance of the Customer.
 Develop quality consciousness among the department to ensure outputs of department are of quality standards for your internal & external customers.
Delivery
 Serve as a role model to the department with regard to productivity consciousness balancing the importance of the Customer.
 Share knowledge, coach and develop direct reports in an effort to improve overall team performance and individual contribution.
Cost Reduction
 Foster an environment of Continuous Improvement throughout the department.
 Makes continuous improvement a priority. Involve department in the implementation of process improvements. Drive improvement through team members.

 Serve as a role model for department in work practices and in performing at all times consistent with the Core Beliefs and Values of the Company as well as the Company’s Performance Competencies.
 Is an advocate for the team by being receptive, actively listening, and communicating concerns, impressions and observations to your leader and peers as needed to drive cross-functional thinking.

Qualifications


 4-year degree preferred or comparable experience in a Business, Sales or similar type of environment
 3-5 years’ experience within a leadership/manager role, in a consumer products industry
 3-5 years of experience and knowledge in Hospitality/Commercial Services, Customer Service, Purchasing, Manufacturing and/or Design Trade preferred
 Knowledge and aptitude in team management and lean leadership is vital
 Ability to understand and learn the Hubbardton Forge product line and its applications
 Excellent computer, written and oral communication skills
 Proven ability to develop and maintain strong long term customer relationships
 Experience leading a growing team in a fast-changing environment that requires strategic thinking, results-oriented, decision making and commitment to excellence
 Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and all levels of management throughout the organization
 Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to bring about resolutions in a positive and timely manner.
 Strong sense of urgency and ability to follow through
 Demonstrated project management and cross-functional leadership skills
 Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
 Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals from a variety of departments and positions throughout the company
 Ability to drive process change
 Proficient in the gathering, analysis, and use of data
 Strong negotiating skills
 Attention to detail
 Proven initiative as a highly motivated self-starter
