Reach Your Peak.The Level I Lift Maintenance is responsible for assisting and working closely with Lead Mechanics and other maintenance staff in performing maintenance duties. Duties include cleaning, assisting in repairs, preventative maintenance, operating lift equipment, grip maintenance and overhauls, line work and working at heights. Duties are performed in all types of environments both indoors and outdoors. Additional responsibilities include assuring that the Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, Lead, maintenance personnel and lift dispatch is immediately informed and consulted on all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, observations or system malfunctions. All employees are charged with the responsibility of following the company's safety and risk management policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license

Must be 18 years of age or older

Ability to read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English fluently

Strong communication and team skills

Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet

Ability to work in extreme outdoor weather environments

Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a mechanical field

Must be able to or be able to learn to drive ATVs and snowmobiles

Visual acuity necessary to inspect small defects and small parts, using measurement devices, and assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye

Basic knowledge of computer systems required (at least 1 year of experience)

Ability to lift up to or more than 100 lbs regularly

Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 4 hours without sitting

Ability to use hands and fingers to feel and reach

Ability to climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and crouch

Able to work holidays, weekends, and evenings as necessary

Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level – preferred

Working knowledge of Doppelmayr and POMA chairlifts - preferred

Previous grip rebuilding – preferred

Vermont Tramway Maintenance Technician Level 1 and/or Level 2 – preferred
