We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team – one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.Job TitleProduct Specialist, Crypto DevelopmentOVERVIEWC&I’s Security Innovation team is managing cutting-edge technology and blockchain analytics to create new security products and services.The recent acquisition of CipherTrace and developments have provided Mastercard with assets that form an essential part of Mastercard’s digital asset strategy to: Enable trust, compliance & security-by-design across all our rails Enable our customers to participate in the growth potential of the Cryptocurrency market Identify Payment Flows to and from Virtual Asset Service Providers and reveal risks associated with those payment flows Expand Mastercard’s reach by providing direct relationships to Central Banks, Tax Agencies, Country Regulators, Law Enforcement, Payment Processors etc while deepening relationships with issuers and acquirers across sectors and geographiesThis role supports the launching and management of new crypto intelligence products and services.The ideal candidate should be a passionate, self-motivated, team player with experience working in a quickly evolving environment and who has a willingness to work and learn in a collaborative organization.RESPONSIBILITIES Develop understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle (e.g., Studio framework), actively works to improve experience and skills Drive product development focusing on customer journey and experience Prepare launches and monitors product performance, adoption, and operational health Review information on competitors’ product offerings, business models and technology innovations on a regular basis and shares findings Identify opportunities to improve an overall product lifecycle processes Make a point to listen, observe and understand senior management and cross-functional team perspectives and/or preferences; ask effective questions to clarify understanding Use customer needs, research, user studies, metrics and competitive analysis to document business and product requirements and inform the backlog Display judgment to know when to escalate issues and liaise with cross-functional teams for resolution Support and participate in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into enhancements Own and manage product documentation ensuring it is clear and easily consumable by product, cross-functional and engineering teams Stay aligned with GTM plans for the product set Report status and manage risks within their primary product team Take initiative and actively seek and participate in activities which stretches ones existing skill set Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business management Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members Assists with candidate selection and onboarding Share and seek knowledge within the Guild/Product to drive reuse of best practices and enhance productivityJOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCES Understands the Crypto ecosystem and areas of opportunity for Mastercard Experience reviewing data reports and developing preliminary product enhancement recommendations Helped develop and manage a product or project budget/P&Ls (e.g., compiled estimates of cost drivers, developed bottom line numbers) Demonstrated consistent success working with partners across other functions in support of product go-to market strategies Take the time to fully learn the business requirements and associated use cases Understands and can explain the product set to cross-functional and senior managers Recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialog to resolve them Verbal and written communication is clear and concise Improve team processes that accelerate product development, delivery, drive innovation, lower costs, and improve quality Has skills in test driven and behavior driven development Understands customer journeys and ensures a Mastercard good experience by continuously reducing Mean time to mitigate (MTTM) for incidents and ensuring high availabilityBROADENING EXPERIENCES Created and delivered presentations to product teams and senior management Experience working and building relationships with colleagues from multiple countries or markets Demonstrated self-direction in overcoming organizational conflict or conflicting priorities Experience working with internal colleagues across functions and job families and leveraging internal resourcesCOVID-19 ConsiderationsWe value the safety of each member of our community because we know we’re all in this together.
