SummaryThis position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity.ResponsibilitiesAs a SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST (INSIDER THREAT) at the GS-0080-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: The incumbent serves as the Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist in managing a broad range of Security Disciplines, e.g. Insider Threat, Personnel Security, Information Security, Operation Security, Physical Security, emergency preparedness, and Continuity of Operations Plan, etc. and ensuring compliance with DoD Policy. Providing supervisory responsibility to the DHRA Security positions and is responsible for projects concerning analysis of related security activities. Developing proposed policies, programs, and methods to identify these threats and mitigate them. Managing the information Security, Insider Threat issues and general security administration programs, conducting interagency study groups and resolving problems in existing security systems and programs requiring innovative solutions. Providing oversight and direction to the utilization of all Open Secure Space and Sensitive Compartmented Information facility (SCIFs) for the Enterprise. Evaluating the impact of Federal personnel security related issuances on the DHRA mission, and formulates DHRA enterprise-wide policies, issuances, procedures, and forms to implement them.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsYou may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Providing oversight and direction to the utilization of Open Secure Space and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). Program management of an organization-wide Personnel Security program by providing authoritative information on personnel security policies and procedures or other related matters that may impact Enterprise or organization mission. Applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing and improving Insider Threat and Personnel Security Programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Responsibilities As a Government Information Specialist (FOIA & PA Officer), GS-0306-14 MP, you will perform the following duties: Provide direct oversight and expert technical guidance in connection with the Foundation\'s implementation of FOIA and PA information access request requirements, as well as related statutes, regulations, and applicable DOJ and OMB Guidance. Provide expert advice and assistance to the General Counsel, the Chief Information Officer, and staff. Serve as the Initial Denial Authority for the Foundation. Be responsible for the processing of FOIA and PA information requests received by NSF concerning a wide variety of complex subjects.
