CENTRA is seeking a junior-level, all-source transportation security intelligence analyst to support the strategic analytic priorities of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client. The analyst would be expected to monitor key intelligence interest areas for the client, produce research-driven intelligence products, and provide rapid responses to address event-driven client information requests. The analyst is expected to research and evaluate terrorist threats, with specific application to aviation security, and to work with points of contact in the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Homeland Security Enterprise.The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the current transportation security threat landscape and transportation security operations. The position requires the demonstrated ability to research classified and unclassified data sources, conduct all-source strategic analysis, and support classified briefings. The successful candidate must be able to effectively and diplomatically engage with client personnel and other stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority.
TS/SCI clearance required; prior DHS Suitability a plus
BA/BS and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or MA/MS and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Experience using classified IC systems, tools, and databases on JWICS and HSDN to research and analyze terrorism threats and prepare analytic products and briefings
Understanding of all-source historical, current, and emerging threats to transportation security, with emphasis on aviation security
Experience applying structured analytic techniques (what-if analysis, alternative futures analysis, alternative competing hypotheses, etc.) to inform strategic analyses
Excellent writing, briefing, and coordination skills
Ability to demonstrate agility and creativity and thrive in dynamic environment with evolving and shifting analytical priorities
Understanding of security risk analysis principles and transportation security operations preferred
Ability to accurately and completely source all data used in intelligence, assessment and/or planning products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook Mail, and Outlook Calendar
