Work independently and as part of a team, performs high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, operations and implementation of complex Redhat, Ubuntu, and CentOS systems supporting applications that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills

Perform all duties of Linux administration including installation, configuration, securing, performance tuning, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Apply higher-level business and/or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at an engineering/operations solution

Prepare technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs as needed to record results

Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by Enterprise Linux Manager

May be required to serve as Team Leader

Responsible for ensuring the quality and services delivered

What You’ll Need:

TS/SCI Clearance w/ ability to obtain poly

Must meet DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II or higher

Operational experience with multiple Linux flavors; RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu

DISA/DIA/NSA environment hardening experience

Storage Solutions (NetApp, 3PAR, Pivot3, etc.)

Ability to apply user requirements to the analysis, planning, and design of technology systems

Ability to communicate and convey information (orally and in writing) to a diverse audience, including management, non-technical, and technical staff

Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency

Ability to work closely with others in a team environment

Ability to interface with all customer levels

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Skilled in Linux-related scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.)

Experience analyzing and evaluating the security of new and existing IT systems and the procedures to protect information system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction

Knowledge and understanding of operating systems, networks and services

Experience evaluating solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information

Manage changes to system and assesses the impact of those changes

Desired Skills:

Experience with Apache web server configuration and management

Experience with Oracle and SQL Database configuration and management

Management, deployment and troubleshooting of web based applications and the servers that host these applications

Training/Certification strongly desired:

Linux +

Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
