Conducting analyses and develop actionable reports on diverse projects and problems related to medical risk, care delivery and coordination, drivers of medical/pharmacy cost, benchmark analysis, administrative, and utilization trends.

Identifying actionable opportunities to improve our client partners’ medical cost and quality as well as satisfaction of their patients and/or members.

Working with internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities to leverage data and information to support business and client needs

Managing projects independently

Identifying areas of opportunity to add value to the client and Evolent team

Analyzing business processes to determine how to measure and report on key operational and performance metrics

Translating moderately complex and varied business needs into reporting requirements and supporting documentation of technical specifications

Collaborating with clients, internal analytics, IT development and data warehouse teams to inform and validate business and technical requirements

Communicating effectively with internal development teams to ensure that the technical requirements and the business objectives are clear

Working with other Technical, Business and Clinical Lead/ Analysts to address interface and domain overlap issues and conflicts and resolves disputes

Participating in the in testing efforts, including test scenario development, execution of test scripts, and documentation of results

Assisting in the development of a training plan, training materials, and initiation of training for the end user training on reports.

The Experience You Need (Required):

Bachelor’s degree, with either a quantitative major (e.g. actuarial, statistics, economics, engineering, computer science, operations research, applied math) or healthcare (health administration, public health, medicine)

At least 3 years of experience with either SQL, SAS, R, Microsoft Excel (advanced), Microsoft Access (advanced), GIS, or other programming language

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

Experience in an analytics role at a health plan, consulting firm, hospital system

Experience with quantitative analytics in areas such as statistics, predictive modeling, optimization, discrete event simulation or other healthcare related experience

Willingness to develop and explore new approaches, adapt, and execute quickly

Exceptionally strong analytic abilities, with track record of identifying insights from quantitative and qualitative data

Proven track record of taking initiative and managing processes efficiently

Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities
