Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) required to be consideredPrimary PurposeG2 Ops, Inc. seeks qualified candidates for the position of Systems Engineer II/III (MBSE). This position will be responsible for the design, development, update and analysis of SysML models for Navy C4I systems, focusing on component interface modeling and systems integration. This position requires hands-on familiarity with NoMagic's MagicDraw modeling and DOORS requirements management tool suites. Activities include:
Requirements gathering and analysis;
System architecture design and development using a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach;
Software script development to create customer output products.
Essential Functions
Performs initial system analysis, including scope definition, problem analysis, requirements gathering and development
Designs and develops architecture data models including data gathering, SysML diagram, activity diagram, and sequence diagram development
Models systems using UML, SysML, and UPDM modeling languages
Supports customer meetings, data gathering activities, and site visits
Creates custom output reports for the customer using software scripts to automatically pull information from the model
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science degree from accredited college or university in systems engineering, information systems, computer science or software engineering, or other engineering or technology-focused discipline
3 - 7 years' of experience
Experience leveraging either NoMagic?s MagicDraw modeling tool suite or IBM?s Rational product suite (Rhapsody and DOORS) to model using UML and SysML
Able to perform operational analysis to define and decompose tactical mission needs in sysml standard formats and viewpoints
Able to perform requirements analysis to assess operational needs against candidate architectures to develop performance, functional, and interface requirements for Navy platforms, systems, and operations at multiple levels of detail
Able to perform architecture analysis to define and decompose platforms and systems into progressively granular levels of detail
Skills and Expertise
Familiarity and demonstrated experience writing software scripts
An understanding of current/future Navy C4I systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong problem solving abilities, a proactive attitude, and an attention to detail
Work well in teams and the ability to be productive in a collaborative environment
