Desired Skills

The potential candidate will be responsible for the planning, implementation, analysis, and reporting of the quality assurance activities as part of the Travel Issuance and Overseas Citizen Assistance (TIOCA) Quality Management and Engineering (QME) workstream. The candidate will collaboratively work with all TIOCA Task Order support teams to ensure the TIOCA processes and products demonstrate the required quality and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) requirements. He/she will check the implementation of the quality system, conduct quality assurance audits, monitor and record results from processes and products, and ensure timely communication of the findings with the respective teams. In general, the candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the identification and recommendation of process improvement opportunities. Additional duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct process and product assessment and generate metrics that will be used for continuous process improvement purposes
  • Manage the TIOCA performance metrics (both process and product) and establish trends
  • Identify best practices and provide recommendations to help mature the TIOCA processes and the quality of the deliverables
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data captured to demonstrated how the implemented best practices helped improve the quality of the TIOCA deliverables
  • Monitor risks, and maintain and analyze issue logs to identify and report recurring issues to leadership and product development team
  • Identify a standard-based, best practices approach based on CMMI
  • Collaborate with Deloitte GPS CMMI team to ensure compliance with the CMMI requirements
  • Work with the GPS CMMI team and ensure successful internal and external CMMI assessment/appraisa
  • Continuously monitor data associated with the Service Level Agreement and identify deviation
  • Build high quality software components to support projects within federal, local and state government
  • Develop groundbreaking technologies which disrupts the legacy world
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues with the client, team members, team leads and/or project management
  • Stron g problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments


The team

Systems Engineering

Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • (2+) years of experience as a QA Tester
  • Must have a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
  • Perform test planning, manual and automated test execution, and report test results
  • Translate functional requirements into test scenarios and test suites that are robust and easy to maintain
  • Work closely with functional Leads and developers to resolve and/or retest application functionality
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
