DescriptionRobert Half Finance is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team in Ashland, VA. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a full-time position based in the Ashland, Virginia area.Key responsibilities
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Provide support to internal business partners
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Accomplish full-cycle A/P
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Highly organized and self-motivated
