GSSR is looking for an experienced Business development Manager to join our growing minority certified IT consulting firm. As a Business development Manager, you will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management, and meet with potential clients (State/ Commercial). You should showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills and act proactively to address clients’ needs and facilitate the sale process from beginning to the end. Ultimately should contribute to an increase in sales and maintain our company-client relationships at a high standard.

  • Designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands company’s client base and ensure its strong presence in both state and commercial clients
  • Penetrate new business through in-person meetings/presentations with key client managers and participate in networking organizations/events to generate new business.
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
  • Ability to utilize various job boards and social media platforms to post jobs and source candidates to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Monitor and mediate all necessary communication between customer, vendor, and internal technical resources within each account.
  • Responsible for placement off consultants coming off projects.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and organize regular client meetings to discuss their requirements and bring in more business and should be able to take on multiple roles based on company’s need.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • Proven working experience in business development or as sales account executive or a relevant role
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects, close deals, and achieve sales quotas
  • Good communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
