Job Responsibilities


  • Develop, execute, and manage configuration CRQs and apply and update baseline documentation for all devices on network utilizing adopted FERC government standards/security best practices.

  • Review and update existing CM plans/procedures and recommend improvements and develop SOPs based on industry leading practices, NIST, FISMA, OMB, FERC EPMO policy and guidance, and other government agency requirements.

  • Use Remedy ITSM and SNOW to track/verify that change management processes are followed in accordance with FERC approved policies and procedures.

  • Review existing CMDB, identify overall business needs, provide process and technology recommendations tailored for FERC's needs.

  • Follow Commission policies and the SDLC, migrate software builds from non-production and production environments after rigorous testing, per procedures and change management approvals built into management processes.

  • Manage tools across project lifecycles, provide recommendations to consolidate tools, migrate towards automation solutions where possible.

  • Review existing CRQ process and provide collaborative CM process across all stakeholders

  • Implement monitoring processes to regularly interrogate hardware and software CIs, keep the CMDB consistent with asset management data.

  • Confirm implementations adhere to SDLC by engaging in every part of the process from procurement phase to ensuring proper security plans are developed including detailed plan for maintenance and estimate end of life/disposal plan.

  • Document baselines for devices on the network using agency standards and security best practices, regularly review to audit security configurations, validate devices comply with federal hardening standards, and revise baseline documentation as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

Education:


  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Experienced in change management, software version management and functional and physical configuration management.

  • Experience with Configuration Management Tools

  • Familiarity with AGILE development methodologies

  • S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 4 - 7 years of prior relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of BS degree, or Masters with 2 - 6 of prior relevant experience
