Description

SAIC is seeking a Scrum Master/Business Analyst responsible for setting the team up for success by adopting, implementing, and conducting Agile practices. You will facilitate Scrum/Kanban teams' processes and deliverables and communicate with stakeholders, escalate issues, remove impediments, and help manage risk. SAIC is seeking to fill this position with a seasoned Agile professional with excellent communication skills who understands Agile as a flexible framework, rather than a rigid methodology. This position also requires ensuring the customer's requirements are captured with comprehensive, accurate user stories and acceptance criteria that are managed in JIRA with a properly prioritized product backlog.

Job Duties Include:

  • Track, analyze, and report standard agile metrics as well as additional reporting requirements, as necessary
  • Act as a unifier helping individual goals become program goals
  • Conduct Agile ceremonies
  • Breakdown the roadmap into Epics and group User stories under them
  • Work with customers and developers, engineers to write user stories which are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small and testable
  • Responsible for ensuring user stories include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality
  • Act as an interface and customer advocate to ensure customer, stakeholder and user needs are being addressed.
  • Validate that product deliveries meet customer requirements and drive product demos
  • Participate and lead backlog grooming sessions and internal demos
  • Proactively contribute to the quality of the product by seeking and proposing new or alternate approaches to address the requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years and 3+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Agile-based software delivery, including leading Agile ceremonies
  • Experience enabling daily operations of Scrum teams by analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
  • Experience producing and analyzing burn down charts and recommending ways to improve team deliverables and timelines
  • Experience leading teams through resolution of program issues
  • Advanced understanding of Agile Principles
  • Strong knowledge and application skills of lean Scrum, Kanban
  • Strong experience with JIRA and Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite
