We are seeking an energetic and caring person to teach our youth on Sundays (First Day) from 11:00AM to 11:45AM September through May. On average, five children attend First Day School in this age group. A teacher's assistant will also attend. Our Religious Education Committee will support you every step of the way. Our Meeting has many curricula from which to choose or you may develop your own. We wish for our children to learn to listen for God's messages, adopt Quaker values, and most importantly enjoy each other's friendship.
Responsibilities include weekly preparation and presentation of appropriate stories, activities and/or crafts, assisting students, recording attendance, distributing snacks, and meeting once a month with the Religious Education Committee.
Skill set, background check and references required. Knowledge of Quakerism is preferred but not necessary. Chosen candidate may begin preparing lessons in August 2019. Classes start September 1, 2019.
