We are a group of five families who are forming a Kindergarten Pod for our six 5-year-old children. We have three boys and three girls who have been in childcare together since they were toddlers. We are all safe and conscientious about viral exposures. We have a large, sunny classroom space in one of our homes as well as a wooded neighborhood to explore.
We're earnestly searching for a part-time educator to work with the children each morning. Ideally, our teacher would have experience with this age group and with curriculum development, although we will likely have materials from the public schools to work with as well. This position would be for 20 hrs/week. We are open to your ideas and creativity, and are looking for a fun partner in guiding our children in their continued development.
We are also in need of an assistant who has childcare experience to be a partner with the lead teacher in the mornings, and then provide afternoon supervision and fun activities. Love of nature, art, or music is a plus! This position would be for up to 30-40 hrs/week.
